Ben is an author, cancer survivor and founder of do-good communications agency, Republic of Everyone. By combining creativity with sustainability, Ben has become a regular speaker at green, ethical and social marketing events, including the Sydney Design Festival, Ethical Investor’s Green Marketing Forum, Web 2.0 for Government, Not-For-Profit Communicators' Conference and the SA Government’s Stirring the Possum.

Ben is an author, cancer survivor and founder of do-good communications agency, Republic of Everyone. By combining creativity with sustainability, Ben has become a regular speaker at green, ethical and social marketing events, including the Sydney Design Festival, Ethical Investor’s Green Marketing Forum, Web 2.0 for Government, Not-For-Profit Communicators' Conference and the SA Government’s Stirring the Possum.

In his job as a Creative Director, he has worked all over the world, launching the Toyota Prius into Europe and seeking inspiration everywhere from the nightclubs of Cuba to the grasslands of Zambia. In 2006, Ben had cancer, kicked its butt and wrote a book about it, entitled 'Lessons from My Left Testicle'. As an author, Ben has appeared in Belle Magazine, Dumbo Feather, the Daily Telegraph, and on radio all over Australia. His book featured heavily on the ABC and was Book of the Week on 2UE.

In 2007 he created the award winning Tails for Whales, a global campaign to stop whaling which has featured everywhere from the halls of British Parliament to the catwalk of New York fashion week, collecting celebrities as diverse as Daniel Johns, Twiggy and Amber Valetta along the way.

In 2008 his charity work was recognised with an IFAW Action Award, an honour he shared with Jamie Oliver.

In 2009 he won the NSW Department of Environment's Green Globe award for Sustainability Communications.

In 2010 he reached his proudest moment of all, welcoming his daughter Lulu into the world after finally overcoming the ill effects of chemotherapy on the scrotal region.

Ben is a spokesperson for the Cancer Council and sits on the board of Soi Dog, a charity dedicated to helping street dogs in Thailand. In his spare time he surfs, plays guitar and dreams of life in a Kombi.
