Trevor Naismith has recently been appointed as General Manager of the Alinytjara Wilurara NRM Board which covers an area of approximately 23 million hectares.  He was previously the Director of Regional Operations with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Trevor is currently the Chair of the Witjira National Park Co-Management Board and was involved in the initial meeting at Oasis Bore on the Western edge of the Simpson Desert that finally lead to the landmark co-management agreement. Trevor has “worked  across most of South Australia” in a long career that has seen him undertake a variety of roles such as Park Ranger, District Ranger, Parks and  Wildlife Manager and Regional Conservator and as such, has a long history of working with Aboriginal  people who are engaged in managing their traditional lands and natural resources.
