When and where is the Conference being held?
The 2011 IPAA National Conference is being held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart, on August 25 and August 26 2011, with the Conference Dinner the evening of Thursday 25 August 2011.
What are the key dates I should keep in mind?
1 July – Submissions close for Full Papers and supporting PowerPoint presentations.
25 & 26 August – Conference, Hobart
When will I receive information on the program?
We will endeavour to notify all presenters by April 27 2011. All confirmed speakers/ facilitators/ presenters will be sent a link to provide attendance and registration details.
What is the duration of my Presentation?
Presenters will be notified of their session type and duration for presentation during the notification period of successful paper between April 17 to April 29 2011.
What time will I need to be onsite if I am selected to present at the Conference?
All speakers/ facilitators/ presenters will be required to check in with Conference staff in the speaker’s preparation room no less than half an hour prior to session.
What audio visual equipment can be accessed for my presentation?
Standard equipment will be provided. This includes lectern & microphone, roving and lapel microphones and data projector / screen/ remote combination. Approval of additional equipment will be subject to budget limitations.
Are there any expenses associated with being a Presenter?
There is no cost to present at your allocated Conference session however logistical expenses are the responsibility of each individual. Presenters have access to attend their session only. Tea and coffee will be available in speaker’s preparation room prior to your session.Presenters wishing to participate in the remainder of the Conference must register as a delegate for a reduced fee of $590.00 to accommodate sessions and catering for both days.
Who is responsible for travel and associated costs?
Flights, accommodation and associated costs such as ground transport are the responsibility and expense of each presenter.
Is parking available at the Conference venue for Presenters?
A limited number of parking allocations are available.
Are Presenters eligible to attend the Gala Dinner?
Presenters who register to attend the other sessions of the conference as a full delegate, at the special discounted rate, are invited to attend the Gala Dinner on the evening of Thursday 25 August for no additional cost. Due to venue capacity, allocation is limited to a maximum of 200 attendees; therefore you must confirm your dinner invitation. Please note that if you choose not to register as a full delegate, you will not be eligible to attend any other sessions, meals or functions throughout the two days. How ever, you may still purchase a stand-alone ticket to attend the conference dinner.
