Premier's Young Professional Breakfast

Premier_Lara_GiddingsPremier Lara Giddings will host the Young Professionals Breakfast at the 2011 IPAA National Conference.

Lara knows what it’s like to be a young professional in a challenging environment-she was the youngest woman ever elected to an Australian Parliament when first elected to the Tasmanian House of Assembly in 1996 at the age of 23. Since that time she has lost her seat and regained it, held various Ministries including Economic Development, Arts, Health and Human Services, Infrastructure, Justice and Attorney General. Lara was Deputy Premier from 2008 to 2011 before becoming the first female Premier of Tasmania, at which time she also took on the role of Treasurer.

A healthy public sector needs the ideas and energy of the younger generations and this breakfast is an ideal opportunity for young public servants to meet and share their ideas with the Premier and Senior Executives. If you are a young professional (under 35) then this will be one of the highlights on the 2011 IPAA National Conference.
